In the age of the Kindle, there is something sort of luxurious about leafing through a hard-bound book. So, we were more than thrilled to receive an advance copy of Sonia Rykiel, a delicious 650-page banquet of the designer's 40-year reign as the Queen of Knitwear. Almost as sumptuous as her iconic textiles, the book traces Rykiel's visionary collections from long-knit cardigans and wide-leg culottes through ironic statements of fashion. It's one of those great worth-the-investment books you could go over again and again and find something new to love about it each time. Now, if only she would re-release some of her signature pieces so we could stop praying every time we set foot in a vintage store
