It’s official: H&M is having a Washington moment right about now. The global retailer just announced plans for a new store at Union Station, set to open this spring, in addition to the brand-new outpost in Friendship Heights and a revamped Georgetown mall store coming in the fall. By the end of 2013, the District will have a whopping four H&M stores — the closest competitor is Zara, with a measly two stores inside city limits. And while there are rumors of a Topshop and Uniqlo headed to the CityCenterDC development, those are still just rumors at this point.
