When we saw this lovely photo of Kate Middleton at the Assyakirin Mosque in Malaysia, we were impressed by her chic, understated ensemble — she was respectful without being frumpy, and that can be tough. But suddenly, at second glance, we found ourselves in a 1996 flashback, remembering this very similar photo of Diana.
The late princess wore a similar headscarf in Pakistan and Egypt back in the day, but that's not what's so similar. The overall styling is, despite a few minor, modern updates, very familiar. The buttons, the monochrome, the flowy cut, and even the color is just a few shades off.
