A Day In The Life (And Lipstick) Of Style Blogger Aimee Song

At just 23, Aimee Song is giving other West-Coast interior designers a run for their money! Named by AM New York as one of the "New Influencers" in the blogging sphere, we were psyched to tag along with her on our latest Dior'ific Lipstick Diary, this time in her stomping ground of Los Angeles. Read on to see how Song thrifts, dines, and dances up a storm. 

3 p.m.: Vintage Shopping—With a friend’s wedding and a music concert coming up I’m on a hunt for a cute dress, so I decided to stop by Wasteland in Melrose, my go-to source for vintage clothes. Wasteland is a great alternative to huge, overwhelming thrift stores, and I love the wide variety of clothes they have. As always, this shopping trip did not disappoint since I walked out with two cute dresses. I’ve always been a big fan of natural makeup, but for spring I like to add a pop of color such as this pretty shade of pinky-red, Dior Addict Lipstick in New Look 745. This color is so fun and flirty, which is the look I’m going for when hanging out and shopping in Melrose. Plus, I’ve been into the '70s look lately, so the vintage red shade was a perfect addition to my '70s-inspired outfit." 

7 p.m.: Dinner at Alcove Café—"L.A. is such an open-air place...and I love sitting outside at Alcove Café, day or at night. The whole casual, no-fuss vibe is right up my alley, and with their extensive menu I never run out of things to try. For a relaxed dinner date with my boyfriend, I decided to wear an orange dress he picked out for me awhile back—this was perfection with a natural lipstick. Dior Addict Lipstick in Miss Dior 343 makes my lips look pretty and kissable."

9 p.m.: Pre-Drinks at The Falls—"We started out at The Falls, a small but stylish lounge where we had some amazing drinks with great '70s music playing in the background. Instead of the usual mini-dress that reveals a lot of skin, I wore a white maxi-dress and made a statement with dramatic lips. The Dior Addict Lipstick in Fashion Week 881 was daring but gorgeous and the sexy lighting in The Falls was the perfect backdrop to disclose my love for this vibrant shade.."

12 a.m.: Partying The Exchange Club—"Sometimes it’s nice to get away from all of the traffic in Hollywood, so for my sister’s birthday we partied in Downtown L.A. instead.  After a few drinks at The Falls, lots of dancing was on the menu, so we took the party next-door to Exchange L.A., which is a ginormous two story club with a huge dance-floor that was once the L.A. Stock Exchange. Definitely a classic destination in L.A., and my look turned out to be a great match!"
